Splash.

Our first trip to the splash pad signals the beginning of summer for me. It's getting hot and the humidity continues to creep in a little more everyday. Splash pads are our favorite past time when the weather starts to turn and pretty much for the rest of the summer. So, we packed a lunch and met out playgroup after the gym on Friday at a local park.

Funny thing is from the moment we arrived both boys just wanted to eat. Carter would run over to the water, soak himself and then come back to the bench for food. The Sun Chips were the highlight of lunch for him.
Owen carried around his juice box for half an hour. Here Owen is talking to Kate in the tunnel. Owen was Mr. Adventure and explored every inch of the playground. There wasn't much that slowed him down other than the inclined tunnel. Once he was wet he couldn't get out. So Will (Lindsays oldest son) climbed in and pushed him out. I adore her kids. Will has always done things like that for Carter as well, so thoughtful and a good big brother even to my boys. Carter and Tayson playing in the mulch. These two get along great. Every time Carter sees Tayson he runs over to give him a hug and then continues to talk about him for the rest of the day.I'm sure this is the first of many trips to come. The hardest part of transitioning to summer is getting everything ready. Time to keep the beach/pool bag stocked with hats, sunscreen, wipes, swim diapers, towels, swim gear and loaded by the door for last minute trips. Here's to the fast approaching summer and many afternoons spent like this.

It has been raining for weeks over here, and I don't think you are being very sensitive! I love summer too. The swim bags, the hats, the glasses, the sunscreen! I can't wait. As soon as the seasons decide to act accordingly I won't be so annoyed with you. HeHeHe! loveya
