Sunday Quote.

Our Cute Boys.

It was another Sunday where I had the privilege to teach Relief Society. I always feel refreshed and refueled after studying my lesson and then even more so after teaching and hearing such wonderful comments and perspectives from the ladies in my ward. I'm grateful for my calling. I'm also grateful for the lessons in which I can walk away feeling as though I was able to teach with the spirit, that I was able to listen and share the things that were needed to be heard. This lesson was on God's Love. I really like getting back into the basics of the gospel and this lesson was a wonderful refresher on how each of us are a son or daughter of Heavenly Father that loves us. Although we are imperfect he loves us perfectly and knows each of us personally. What a blessing it is to know that and to believe in that. Here is a small insert from the lesson and from the talk from President Uchtdorf.

No, God does not need us to love Him. But oh, how we need to love God!

For what we love determines what we seek.

What we seek determines what we think and do.

What we think and do determines who we are—and who we will become.

We are created in the image of our heavenly parents; we are God’s spirit children. Therefore, we have a vast capacity for love—it is part of our spiritual heritage. What and how we love not only defines us as individuals; it also defines us as a church. Love is the defining characteristic of a disciple of Christ.

-From President Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk “The Love of God,” Ensign, Nov 2009, 21–24

Thanks, I love that. I was just released from that calling and I'm so bummed. Best calling ever!
