New Set.

Carter is the proud owner of a shiny new set of ear tubes.
He did so well before and after the surgery. You could tell this was our third time to go through this surgery (Owen 1, Carter 2). We knew what to expect and had no questions for the hospital staff or doctor. Gave Carter a big hug and kiss and told the doc we'd see him in ten minutes. He didn't cry when he woke up, just laid there and looked around. The only meltdown he had was as we were leaving the hospital because he didn't want to wear his coat. Go figure. We were in and out in just over an hour. The doc also told us that he drained a lot of gunk out of his ears so we should notice an immediate difference in his hearing as well. Making all of this worth it. Post Op the only thing bothering Carter are the nasty ear drops, but even then, we only have a few more days of those as well. So he's good. We're so grateful for all of the prayers and well wishes for our little guy.

A little unrelated side note that I've been meaning to write down.
Last month I was asked to say the opening prayer during sacrament at church. I walked up there, said the prayer, said Amen, and from the crowd I hear "thank you mommy." It was loud, but oh so cute and melted my heart. Love him!

That made me tear up. Don't you wish you could have something like that on tape? Your boys are so fun and cute and sweet!

Oops, I also meant to say that it's great the tubes went so well. Doctors truly can do awesome things.
